Mark 10

I have been mulling over Mark 10 for the past few days. I think God asks us two questions through this passage...

1) What do you want me to do for you?
2) Are you a rich young man or a blind Bartimaus?

He asks question 1 twice, to James and John and to Bartimaus, they want different things and Jesus responds to both within His authority, He doesn't grant James and John's request, their request is under the Father's authority, but He heals Bartimaus blindness because of his faith. This question burns off the page "What do you want me to do for you?" straight into my heart (or any other reader) and you know what...I don't know how to answer. God desires that we know what we want Him to do for us, we really need to know as we serve Him daily. Do you know?

Secondly am I a 10:22 or a 10:50? Do the things I have in this world hold me back from following Jesus or am I willing to throw away those things that are vital to my very survival to run after the Lord? I know what I want the answer to be but I'm kind of afraid at what the real answer might be. Who are you?
